FILLING THE PAGE is a songwriting class designed to unlock your creativity. It will be driven by weekly writing prompts which will inspire you to create unique and impactful work. Each week will focus on storytelling through song, developing an original voice, and revising work through feedback. Beyond the creation of original material (you can write music, lyrics, or both), you will be encouraged to find inventive ways to represent your work on digital platforms. In addition to the group meetings, individualized one-to-one feedback will be provided every week.
FILLING THE GAPS sets out to answer every question you have about building a career in the theatre. Discussions will include the unique challenges of working as an actor on a new musical, how to curate an online presence which will positively impact the professional casting process, networking/outreach/assisting, special appearances and Q&As with acclaimed Broadway actors, directors, writers, casting directors, producers, and more. This class aims to be an evolving series of conversations whose content is informed by the needs, interests, and questions of each participant.
